DIRECTV in contract dispute with Disney; customers lose several channels

On Sunday, September 1st, all Disney-owned channels on DIRECTV went dark as the two companies failed to agree to a new contract. This comes after DirecTV had two disputes last year that led to their customers losing access to channels.
Here are some of the channels DirecTV customers will not be able to access during the current contract dispute:
- ABC
- Disney Channel
- ESPN networks (includes the ACC and SEC networks)
- Freeform
- FX
- FXX
- National Geographic

Due to an ongoing contract dispute, all Disney-owned cable networks have been blacked out for all Spectrum TV customers. Disney is increasing licencing fees paid by Spectrum to make its channels available to Spectrum customers, and Charter Communications and Disney have been unwilling to reach a deal. Effective September 1, Disney has blocked access to its channels on Spectrum.
