DISH Adds Netflix to Hopper DVR
DISH subscribers can now enjoy movies and shows on Netflix right from their Hopper DVRs.
DISH has added a Netflix app to the award-winning Hopper HD DVR to give customers a better entertainment experience. The new features means that viewers will no longer have to switch to another device in order to watch Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards and Arrested Development. DISH subscribers now can access thousands of on-demand Netflix titles right from the Hopper menu.
The Netflix app is currently only available on second-generation Hoppers, but DISH plans to add this functionality to the various Joey devices in the future. The move could also lead to the future integration of Netflix results into DISH’s native search results.
DISH is the first major pay-TV provider to integrate the popular streaming app with its own services. DISH subscribers need a Netflix subscription in order to enjoy the full benefits of the new app.
